I just watched Lord of the Rings: Return of the King for the umpteenth time, and thought the same thing I think EVERY time I watch any of the LOTR movies; why doesn't someone make a movie focusing on the life of David? ESPECIALLY the conflict between the Israelites and the Philistines, and his confrontation with Goliath. But, really, with the effects they are able to pull off in movies these days, I could probably think of many different accounts from the Old Testament that would make great viewing. How about the story of Samson, for example? Besides entertaining and enlightening stories, such big screen events could be pure eye-candy, as well. Someone call Mel Gibson!
Here's an interesting bit on a Jack Kirby museum that is in the early stages. I'm all for it, and see this as another step toward educating the general public on the merits of the art form of comics. Here's hoping it gets beyond the planning stages.
