Evangelist Uses Comics Parody For Cover of Latest CD

I truly love when it's revealed that comics had a distinct impact on the lives of people I admire! In a recent Baptist Messenger story that highlighted this cover to his latest cd, Evangelist David Petete revealed "Alan Sherman, Ray Stephens, Weird Al Yankovic and Mad Magazine, embodied by Alfred E. Neuman—its gap-toothed, big-eared, red-headed icon" as some of his early influences.

Petete is a fun guy, a great performer and a wonderful Christian individual. Check out his site at www.davidpetete.com.
