Trek Expo 2007 is Coming!

The 19th Annual Trek Expo will blast off Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 12-14 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Tulsa. This media super-convention is among the largest in five states.

Trek Expo is a celebrity packed convention where movie and television fans meet their favorite actors and actresses, artists, writers and musicians. Guests autograph photographs and memorabilia, chat with fans, and share their careers during scheduled speeches. In addition, many exhibitors offer thousands of TV, Movie and music collectables.

Kate Mulgrew (Saturday only), LeVar Burton (Sunday only), and Ron Glass (also appearing on Sunday) are the featured stars this year.

Mulgrew has starred in many television shows including “Star Trek: Voyager” (as Captain Janeway), “Ryan’s Hope”, and “Kate Columbo”, and in movies like “Throw Momma from the Train”.

LeVar Burton is best remembered for the television series “Roots”, for playing Geordi La Forge in “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, and “Reading Rainbow” on PBS.

Ron Glass is best remembered for his role on television’s “Barney Miller”. He also appeared on “Sanford and Son”, “Good Times” and “The New Odd Couple”, as well as “Firefly” and “Serenity”.

Also featured are: Alan Ritchson (Smallville), Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager), Ethan Phillips (Star Trek: Voyager), Andee Frizzell (Stargate Atlantis), Bonnie Piesse (Star Wars), Richard Anderson (Six Million Dollar Man), Sean Kenney (Star Trek: the original series), Robin Wayne Bailey (writer), Selina Rosen (writer), Keith Birdsong (artist), Glenn Sixbury (writer), and R.A. Jones and Michael Vance (writers).

The 8th Annual “Supper With The Stars” will be held at 7:30 P.M on Saturday as part of Trek Expo. The majority of the actors and actresses participate, chatting with and often dancing with those attending. The Women’s Association of Tulsa Boys’ Home is sponsoring the supper. Advance or at-the-door tickets are $25, and all proceeds from the meal will be donated to Tulsa Boys' Home.
