The holidays are over. Anyone want to join me in a thunderous cheer?
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them immensely. But, toward the end of December, I always tend to be Holidayed-out. I mean, besides the preparation that goes into it all on the home front, as a pastor, there are special services, church fellowships, Christmas programs..., you get the idea. It's ALL wonderful, but exhausting and time-consuming. And, this year, a sinus infection just days before Christmas and a stomach virus during the week of caused me to feel a bit less "festive" as it was. All of the above being reasons that reviews (both new and "classic") have been the primary content on the blog for the last month or so. But, that should change now.
Some wonderful news to start the new year, however - Suspended Animation is now being carried by Pop Culture Madness, which I believe is something of a coup. Here's a site that covers MANY aspects of pop culture, but, until recently, had not covered comics. That's changing, thanks to owner/operator Joe Hummel. Hummel is a long-time comics/pop culture fan, and Michael and I are VERY happy about his enthusiasm where S.A. is concerned.
We also picked up a link on Mr. Pop History's site, and have included a link back under "More Links" on the left side of this blog. What's great about this is that Michael's and my desire for the review column is for it to be seen on sites other than those devoted exclusively to the medium of comic books. We would actually like to TRY to reach potential readers, rather than those who already haunt their local comics shops. So, here's hoping we can pick up more such sites in the future.
And, here's hoping 2008 is the best year yet for all who read this blog. May God bless you and yours.
