News Release

Tulsa writer Michael Vance will sign his newest braided novel, Weird Horror Tales at Steve’s Sundry Books and Magazines on Saturday, July 11 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Steve’s is located at 2612 S. Harvard in Tulsa.

"Vance offers up thirteen tales of Lovecraftian horror, science fiction, and fantasy with a deft sense of suspense and heart-pumping terror,” said Ron Fortier, editor of the title. “His grasp of terror is second to none, and delivers nightmarish scenes with incredible, horrific feelings.”

“My stories are founded on the premise that there is something larger than our narrow view of reality,” said Vance. “Each interconnected story shares setting, history, prominent families, and a macro plot. You won’t find gore or much profanity in Light’s End; I write to create anticipation and suspense.”

Legendary cover artist Keith Birdsong of Muskogee has painted the cover for Weird Horror Tales. The interior illustrations are by artist Earl Geier who is best known for his horror, fantasy and science fiction artwork.

Vance has written for national and international magazines, as a syndicated columnist, a cartoonist in over 500 newspapers, a historian, and is a novelist. He is listed in the Who's Who of American Comic Books and Comic Book Superstars.
