Pittsburgh’s ToonSeum Loses Comics to Water Damage
The link is here. This is something that hits home for me. While the damage suffered at the ToonSeum was MUCH greater, I lost the equivalent of a long-box of comics about 5 years ago when our hot water tank ruptured. The really sad part was that I had had the presence of mind to get most of the comics off of the floor, but had mistakenly left old comics in harms way. I ended up losing Silver Age, and even some Golden Age books when the water began to flow. When it comes to water damage, I'd rather watch comics burn.
